Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Government and one other Social Science subject Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language Government or History and at least a pass in Mathematics Three (3) Arts or Social Science subjects
(i) MAIDUGURI and UYO accept ND/HND with good grades in relevant programmes. (i) UYO requires at least 'O' Level pass in Mathematics. (i) BENIN and EBSU accept Government or History, one other Social Science subject and any other subject.
(ii) UYO requires HND/ND in relevant programmes with the UTME requirements. (ii) PHC requires Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Government or History, Economics and any other two (2) subjects from Geography, Commerce, Literature in English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science. Note Pass in Mathematics is compulsory, if Mathematics is not inclusive in the five credits. (ii) UYO requires Government or Economics and any two (2) Arts or Social Science subjects.
(iii) PHC - No direct entry. (iii) BENIN require 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, History/Government and Mathematics. (iii) PHC requires Economics, Government/History and any other Social Science, Arts Subject or Mathematics.
(iv) BENIN accepts ND upper credit/HND lower credit in Public Administration or Mass Communication NCE merit with credit passes in Government/History and any other Social Science subject. Direct Entry candidates must satisfy the UTME requirements. (iv) GOUU requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in subjects which include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and Government. (iv) CRAWFORD requires Mathematics, Government and any Social Science subject or History.
(v) UNIOSUN in addition to the UTME requirements accepts 'A' Level passes in History, Literature in English and Mathematics. (v) UNIOSUN requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes obtained at not more than one sitting in English Language, Government and Mathematics and any other two (2) relevant subjects. (v) CUAB and TSUJ require History or Government and any two (2) Arts or Social Science subjects.
(vi) CRAWFORD accepts

a. two (2) 'A' Level passes in Government and any other Social Science subject.

b. NCE - with at least merit.

c. ND/HND in relevant programmes not lower than lower credit.
(vi) CRAWFORD requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes to include English Language, Government and three (3) other subjects with at least a pass in Mathematics. (vi) NILE accepts Government/History/Civic Education and any two (2) Arts or Social Sciences subjects.
(vii) WESTERN-DEL accepts at least two (2) 'A' Level passes in any one of the following subjects: Government, History, Economics or Geography. (vii) WESTERN-DEL requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Government and one other Social Science subject and other subject of choice. (vii) ABUJA requires Government and any other two (2) Arts or Social Science subjects.
(viii) TSUJ in addition to UTME requirements accepts

a. IJMB (Arts and Social Sciences)

b. ND lower credit in Public Administration to be placed in 100 level while upper credit in 200 level.
(viii) TSUJ requires 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, History/Government, Mathematics and any two (2) or three (3) if Mathematics is not passed at credit level to include Economics, Geography, Christian Religious Studies /Islamic Studies, Commerce and Literature in English. (viii) ABUAD requires Three (3) Arts, Social Science or Science subjects.
(ix) NILE accepts any two (2) 'A' Level passes in Arts or Social Science subjects, ND/HND lower credit or NCE merit in relevant programmes or subjects. (ix) NDA requires 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Government and any other two (2) of Economics, History, Geography, French, Literature in English, Christian Religious Studies / Islamic Studies and any Nigerian Language. (ix) EUI requires three Arts or social science subjects.
(x) CUAB - Same as in Mass Communication. (x) CUAB requires five (5) 'O' Level credit passes or equivalents which must include English Language, Mathematics, and any other three (3) subjects as may be specified by each Faculty.
(xi) ABUJA accepts two (2) 'A' Level passes in Arts or Social Science subjects. Or NCE (minimum10 points) /ND upper credit in Social Works and other relevant programme in addition to the UTME requirements. (xi) ABUJA requires 'O' Level credit passes to include English Language, Government and Mathematics.
(xii) ABUAD accepts A' level passes in at least two subjects. National Diploma in any relevant courses from recognized institution. (xii) FED-OYE EKITI requires five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Government and any two (2) from Social Sciences, Science or Arts subjects.
(xiii) PHC accepts Two (2) Advanced level passes in GCE or HSC or JUPEB or IJMB, one of which must be Government or History in addition to the UTME entry requirements. (xiii) ABUAD requires Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language and any combination of three (3) subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Science.
(xiv) EUI accepts Two A` level passes including government or history and one social science subject in addition to UTME requirements. ND/HND with credit passes in relevant field. NCE with a minimum of Merit in any related Arts/Social/Management Science. A good pass in JUPEB/IJMB Subjects. A university degree in a related discipline. (xiv) EUI requires Five credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent in English language, Mathematics, Government or History and any other two Arts or Social Science subjects at not more than two sittings.
