ENTRY REQUIREMENTS IN COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY

INSTITUTIONS DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS UTME REQUIREMENTS UTME SUBJESTS
BELLS 'A' Level passes/ND and HND in relevant subjects into 200 and 300 levels. Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Economics and Mathematics. Mathematics, Economics and any one of Account, Commerce and Government.
(i) AUN same as Information System (i) ABU requires Five 'O' level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subject. (Including Economics, Technical Drawing, Metalwork and Woodwork). (i) ABU requires Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
(ii) ABU requires

a. two (2) 'A' level/IJMB passes which must include Physics and Mathematics.

b. ND or equivalent in Electrical Eng. or relevant field, with minimum of Upper Credit from accredited institution.

c. HND with at least lower credit in Electrical Engineering from accredited institution.

d. ABU Diploma in Computer Engineering with a Minimum of Merit.
(ii) AUN same as Information System. (ii) AUN requires Mathematics, Physic and any one of Biology, Chemistry and Computer Study.
(iii) BAUCHI accepts

a) two (2) 'A' Level passes in any of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science.

b) ND/HND upper credit in relevant programmes into 200 level.
(iii) BAUCHI five (5) O' level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Any of Commerce, Economics, Business Method, Home Economics and any two (2) of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Agricultural Science and Health Science. (iii) BAUCHI requires Mathematics, Economics and any of Chemistry, Physics or Biology.
(iv) BELLS - For Infrmation Technology accepts Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Economics and Mathematics. (iv) BELLS require Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Economics and Mathematics. (iv) FUTO require Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
(v) FUTO requires at least two (2) 'A' Level passes not below C in Mathematics and one of Physics, Chemistry and Economics. Accepts ND/HND upper credit in Information Management Technology, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Computer Engineering. Candidates must in addition to UTME requirements. Does not accept first degree or NCE. (v) FUTO requires at least five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and one of Biology, Economics and Geography at not more than two (2) sittings. (v) MAUTY requires Economics and any two of Principle of Account, Commerce, Government, Geography and Mathematics.
(vi) MAUTY accepts Diploma with at least lower credit in any of the following: Information Technology, Computer Science/ Engineering, NCE with major in Computer or ICT, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Library Science, Management Information System, Information Management Technology (IMT). IJMB/HSC/GCE A level (with at least points) ICT/Computer Studies and any one of the following: Accounting/Bookkeeping, Commerce, Geography, IMT, Government, Business Administration/Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research. (vi) MAUTY requires Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language and Mathematics any three of ICT/Computer Science/Data Processing, Principles of Accounting/Bookkeeping, Further Mathematics, Physics, Geography, Government, Chemistry, Store Management, Office Practice/Insurance, Commerce/Economics, Marketing/Entrepreneurship. (vi) AFIT-DEG requires Mathematics, Physics and any other subject from Chemistry, Geography and Biology.
(vii) MINNA requires

a) for Telecommunication Engineering: five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subject.

b) for Information and Media Technology: five (5) 'O' Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and two (2) other relevant Science subject.
(vii) BELLS requires Mathematics, Physics and any one subject from Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Economics
(viii) RENAISSANCE requires 'O' Level credit pass in Physics or Chemistry. (viii) MINNA requires

a) for Telecommunication Engineering: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

b) for Information and Media Technology: Mathematics, Physics and any one Science subject.
